Who is collecting data?

Plastic Extruders LTD (also referred to as the “Data Controller”) is a manufacturer of vinyl matting products and tensional strapping. Our products are sold through a global distribution network.

What data is being collected?

We may collect the following data from you:

1. Name – company buyers, sales / accounts contacts

2. Job Title

3. Company name

4. Contact Information - such as email, work addresses and telephone numbers

5. Usage – Our website uses analytical and targeting cookies to better the users experience while visiting the website

6. Marketing data – products purchased, interests and preferences

How we collect your data?
 

• Direct interactions - corresponding with us at trade shows in person or by post, phone, email, web contact form and through samples ordered via the website

• Referrals - through a distributor or supplier introduction / referral

• Automated technologies or interactions - when using our website, personal data is collected by cookies and server logs. Please refer to our Privacy Policy

• Third parties or publicly available sources - analytics providers, like Google

How we use your data?

We need to know basic personal data to provide you with:

Marketing communications will only be sent to people whose consent is covered under the criteria of article 6(1)(f) “Legitimate interests” or those who have a record of consent / have expressly opted in.

Wherever you are required to submit Data, you will be given options to restrict our use of that Data

Will the data be shared with any third parties?

Data which we collect from you may be stored and processed in and transferred to countries outside of the European Economic Area (EEA). For example, this could occur if our servers are located in a country outside the EEA or one of our service providers is situated in a country outside the EEA.

Depending on your location, we may also share your information with our sister company Plastex Matting, Inc.

Unless we are obliged or permitted by law to do so, and subject to any third-party disclosures specifically set out in our privacy policy, your Data will not be disclosed to third parties.

Plastic Extruders sells through a global distribution network. This means that a sales enquiry or order request will often be fulfilled by a distributor in / near to your location. It is therefore often necessary for us to share your personal data for the same purposes for which it was originally supplied to us – legitimate business reasons. It won’t in any case be shared for marketing purposes outside of our group.

If we transfer Data outside the EEA in this way, we will take steps with the aim of ensuring that your privacy rights continue to be protected as outlined in our Privacy Policy.

Retention period

We will retain any Data you submit for a minimum of 10 years, after which time it will be destroyed if it is no longer required for the lawful purpose(s) for which it was obtained.

If you consent to marketing, any information we use for this purpose will be kept with us until you notify us that you no longer wish to receive this information.

Your rights

You have rights over your personal data, including the right to request; access, correct, erase, restrict the processing, and transfer of it. You also have the right to object to the processing of your personal data and to withdraw consent to processing if you have given it previously.

We have appointed a data controller, who will be responsible for all personal data, and managing any questions regarding it. Should you wish to exercise any of your rights, please contact the Data controller.
